Leave options in continuation to Maternity leave
Dear Admin,

I am a faculty from a reputed government university in Delhi. I am on maternity leave since August'12 which ends on 31st Jan'13. I had applied for CCL in continuation to ML, but have been denied citing shortage of faculty as the reason. Kindly guide me for the further course of action & options (with 4 years 5 months of regular completed service) as it is impossible for me to join as my baby is only 5 month old( not taking any external food or milk), neither my nor my husbands parents are around to take care. I have also read in one the threads reply in this forum that whatever may be the case one should not join in order to avail ML benefits! Thank you in advance.

Dr.Akshi Kumar

RE: Leave options in continuation to Maternity leave
All I know is that when CCL is taken in continuation of ML, it can't be denied. Please check your maternity rules first. Most likely yours is same as that of central govt staff.

This is what Swamy book says for central government staff about it:

"Any leave(including commuted leave upto 60 days and leave not due may be taken without medical certificate up to 2 years in continuation"
