Maternity leave denied in probation in government polytechnic in Maharashtra

my wife is feeling very depressed as she was selected through Mpsc as a lecture in government polytechnic in Maharashtra (state government)she has joind this post and completed 120 days in service and her delivery date is next week his office says that she will not get any maternity leave. or any kind of leave .
if she take leave it will be without pay as will as her probation period will also extend which is one year we willl be were thnkful if u advice us.

Looks like Maharastra does have maternity benefit act passed already. It'll apply on your wife as well but I'm not aware of any amendments in this act. I suggest you buy this maharastra benefit act book or contact this book's author.
She should be fully eligible for maternity leave.
