Post Maternity Leave Of Absence Denied
Hi,
I am working in a very reputed software firm.
When i requested for ML, my manager gave me poor ratings in my appraisal and asked me to resign. When I denied, he said you can come back from your ML and resign. Now my ML is getting over by July mid. We have a policy in my company where an employee cam avail 6 months of post maternity Leave without pay. Now, when I ask for it my manger clearly denies it even after producing doctor certificate (although as per policy it is not required). he pressures me to resign my job saying if your personal things are important to you, you can resign and come back to work when you are able to handle office work.

My baby is not even a moth old. its on my feed and I have not recovered from my delivery trauma yet. I want to avail the post maternity leave which my company is providing. Kindly let me know how can I proceed with this.

Sorry for very late reply ...
I'm sure your manager is asking you to resign on his whims. Reputed companies rarely violate laws as a clear policy.
It is clear, you will not be forced to resign by your company.

Try to take transfer to another dept or talk to HR.
