maternity leave rule in private engineering AICTE approved institute - anjalishejul - 08-07-2013 05:20 PM

I am working in one of engineering college in Pune university (maharashtra) as an Assistant Professor from last 2.9 years on adhoc basis & availing 6 th pay also. my management is refusing to sanction any maternity leave as i am on ad-hoc basis (not university approved) .
Is it against rule? can i claim medical leave as per AICTE norms?

You've full right to claim maternity leave since you've worked for more than 80 days in the last 1 year. Just meet labour commissioner in your area.
