Is Tamil nadu 2011 G.O for 180 days maternity leave applicable for private sector
Hi

last year Tamil nadu government passed a GO extending the maternity leave to 180 days. Is this applicable for women working in the private sector. I think the GO was an extension of the Maternity act 1961 ( which is in fact applicable for all ) . I am currently employed in the IT sector where the compant policy allows 3 months of maternity leave.
