Maternity Leave for Senior resident on 1 yearly contract

[ESIC SR 1 yr]

I am searching far and wide, high and low for any SR 1 year, on contract with ESIC, having availed maternity leave. My EDD is one month away. I applied for ML and have been told that senior residents on yearly contract with ESIC are not eligible for maternity leave with pay.
I am working in the same institution for around 1.5 years now, on my second contract. ESIC hospital in kerala under central government.
Please, if anyone can help me in anyway, I'd be eternally grateful...
Fact is, after speaking with the office authorities, they seem to not know much about this since there had been no precedent in that office...
Please help.
