			<description><![CDATA[I have received an offer of appointment to the post of MTS in the Esi Corporation. Last date of joining is fixed on 07.03.2018. Date of Delivery  was on 29.02.2018. I wanted to join on 21.02.18 and take for maternity leave. When I went to join on 21.02.2018, They denied and commanded to put an application asking extension of  joining date . If you joined , no leave would be allowed. In this circumstances I want to know that 1) Whether i can join to the post 2)whether i am eligible for maternity leave after joining.3)whether appointing authority has any discretionary  power in denying of my joining 4) Whether any restrictions of leave  have been effected in the case of newly recruiters. 5) where i should go for justice. pls give advice.]]></description>

2)  I am on maternity leave since birth of my baby i.e Sept 2016<br />
3) After expiry of 6 months maternity leave I applied for extension in the form of child care leave / commuted leave / earned leave at different times.<br />
4) Out of which 1 month Child care leave and 1 month commuted leave granted by competent authority to me.<br />
5) Now competent authority has not granted further extension, withelding my pay and asked me to join duty immediately.<br />
6) My child is 8 months old now and I wish to be with her in view of nourishment and development in her initial stage.<br />
7) After joining my duties, I have to stay outside home from morning  8. 00 to evening 8 .00. This will be very difficult for me and my baby and can affect her health. Hence I wish extension of leave minimum for 2 months.<br />

			<description><![CDATA[Presently i am working as Accountant in a central government department where i joined as Accountant (2800 Grade pay) on august 29, 2012. i was promoted from Accountant to sr. Accountant (4200 gradepay) and the order to this effect was issued on April 01, 2016. when i was promoted by my office, i was on maternity leave w.e.f. March , 2016 and i was blessed with baby boy. My office seniors said that as I am on maternity currently, I will not get benefits of promotion wef order issue date. As per them, once I will join the office my promotion benefits will be effective for that date only. i understand that maternity leave is a kind of leave which contains all sorts of benefits to the women employee in the manner as it should be for the person who is in continuity of the service. in view of the above, i would request you to kindly provide me copy of the related rules, regulations and oms for central government employees, so that i may pursue my office to get the promotion benefits and other dues with the due date i.e. April 01, 2016 accordingly .]]></description>

I am waiting for a Government offer for past 8 months and my police is verification done and I am yet to get my medical.I recently contacted the concerned officials and got the information that i will be getting my offer by this may or june 2016.The problem is that now i am 1 month pregnant,by 'May' i will be 6 months.Please let me know if they will offer me the job and do i have to mention that i am pregnant in medical verification.Please enlighten me on the maternity leave rules a well. And due to health related issues i availed maternity leave right after joining . That was 2 months before delivery . so i get only 4 months after delivery . is it possible for me to get leave for 2 more months ? and they also said that as my service is less than 1 year, i am not eligible for paid maternity leave..is it so ?]]></description>

I delivered baby last week of Apr 2015. <br />

a) Probation for permanent job (I am not currently working with them) starts as of July 2015 - 3 months from now: My medical test is cleared last week and I have appointment order as of Jul last week 2015 - 3 weeks post maternity.<br />
<br />
b) note that I HAVE NOT JOINED yet and have to join July 2015 i.e. in 3 months<br />
<br />
c) Can I apply for maternity leave immediately after joining in July last week for 3 months i.e. as soon as I join? <br />
<br />
d) If c) is not possible, can I apply for loss of pay leave immediately after joining<br />
<br />
What options do I have as I have not joined and probation starts immediately post joining?<br />
<br />
Net-net this question is around if there is a discrimination between those that deliver baby post joining and those that deliver baby and then join?]]></description>

I am working at ESIC Hospital as Assistant Professor on contractual basis. Initial period of contact for 2 years which is extendable for another 1 year. I have joined on 23rd April 2013.<br />
Shall I be entitled for paid maternity leave for 180 days?<br />

In this hospital senior residents on 3 year contract(renewable after every one year) get paid ml for 180 days.My post is newly created hear as medical college started from this year. So I have been told form the office that I can not get paid maternity leave for any duration but I can get ml for 6 months without salary.]]></description>

i m working as senior resident since july 2013 in a central government medical college.i am trying to apply for maternity leave from 1 JAN 2014,but being denied of the leave as they are saying no maternity leave during first year of senior residency as per our university rules.please suggest me option also provide documents in the support as i have read there is no difference in maternity rules for temporary and permanent employees.]]></description>
