maternity leave during probation period in KVS
My wife had given birth to baby on 21.03.12 in chandigarh , but after that on 27.03.12 we had received the appointment letter from KVS Pathankot. As per appointment letter my wife had to join the KVS on or before 03.04.12 but as per doctor advice she is not medically fit and PGIMER chandigarh had given the certificate that she is not phyisically fit upto 19.04.12. After that the extension is granted to us by KVS upto 15 days and send us the letter that joined & report to the school on or before 19.04.12. after that we had gone there & give the joining report on 19.04.12 but as per statement by the principal that she is not eligible for the maternity leave or child care leave during the probation period. can u please tell us what are the norms & Rules are applicable in this case. RE: maternity leave during probation period in KVS
CCL requires prior permission in all cases. I've not yet seen anybody joining after delivery and taking Maternity Leave.
